Audi Q8 vs Range Rover Sport SE Battle of the ‘big dads’. In this week’s episode, The Pit Stop Podcast hosts Eli and Jonny hash out their car-related differences, by putting the 2021 Audi Q8 and 2021 Range Rover Sport SE head-to-head. Is Range Rover an Indian car? Can you drift in Audi Q8? Listen to find out…

Eli tells his story about when he was a passenger in an Audi S4 and hit his head on the window after “drifting” in that car. Then Eli and Jonny don’t miss a beat and get straight to the arguments. The base price for the Audi Q8 starts at $68,200 and the base price for the Range Rover Sport SE starts at $69,500. Eli gives a brief overview of the similar features that both cars have like leather seats, navigation, thermal insulation glass, heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, blind-spot monitor, and Apple / Android CarPlay among many other standard features. Eli then suggests the Range Rover, is not as agile as the Audi, especially in corners, and that driving a Range Rover is like driving a boat.

Then Eli mentions that Range Rover is under Jaguar Land Rover which is under Tata Motors, an Indian based company. And that Audi is in a prestigious “German Engineering” bubble. Furthermore, Jason Statham drives an Audi in all the Transporter films which have elevated the brand and cars that Audi manufactures. Also, Audi’s and Range Rover’s have been encountered in the Avengers franchise among other movies. Jonny then introduces the activity key offered by Range Rover, which allows you to unlock the car and drive without a physical key. Eli disagrees, arguing it’s not worth the $410 price tag.

In the end, they went to the TikTok polls, where 67% of listeners voted for the Audi and 33% for the Range Rover.
